The Tiger Who Stole My Safari…

It was a slightly humid afternoon, and I was with 16 guests during the vehicle safari. It was just a few minutes past our entry into the national park. As the vehicle was cruising gently in the track, my driver Lokesh exuberantly called out, “Tiger Tiger”, and we looked in the direction his index finger pointed. Read more

Follow My Lead!

I was leading a handful of guests on an evening safari. The weather was pleasant and the forest, quiet. To our amusement, we came across a set of tiger pugmarks which seemed quite fresh. Hence we decided to head in the direction the pug marks took us. Read more

The Watchful Eyes…

I went on an evening drive to the Nagarhole National Park recently. The monsoon is almost over and the weather is changing gradually, heralding the arrival of winter. As it was a very warm day, I decided to take my chances close to the waterholes, but wasn’t lucky though. During the drive, we made good sightings of a herd of Gaur, three Tuskers, a female Elephant that was carrying, and mock charged at us! Read more

The Treasured Bark

It was during the morning vehicle safari that I was guiding a handful of guests. The forest looked lush after the previous night’s rains. I brought the vehicle to a halt as I heard the loud alarm call of the Langur. Read more
